Project 366 - Week 35 Summer Holidays (Week 6)

This week was our real 'summer holidays' as Adam had the week off work.  We had two parties to attend, a Bible Character themed party, which I previously mentioned here, another fancy dress party, and then lots of holiday fun, which included a night in a tent!

288/366 - The boys all dressed as their bible characters, Sam insisted on going as Jesus, and James went as Jesus (half) brother James.  Here are a few other pictures of the children too, we had lots of King David's, some when he was a shepherd boy, and others when he was a king, another little boy was Noah.  The little girls were mostly Mary or Jephthah's daughter, but we also had one who was Jael! :)

290/366 - Today was another fancy dress party, so Adam went as a Caesar Salad, I was a flower power/hippy chick, Sam was in his Finn McMissile costume and James was a fireman.  All our friends made a great effort too!

291/366 - One of Sam's summer holiday requests was to ride on a roller coaster, so on Tuesday we went to South Shields Pleasure Park and rode a roller coaster, drove the dodgems, and had a few other rides too!

292/366 - As the boys and I had so much fun at the Discovery Museum a few weeks ago, they asked daddy if we could all go again, so that was what we did, and had lots of fun for a second time. :)

293/366 - Today was D-Day, we went camping with the boys for the very first time!  We stayed at a beautiful site near Crastor, the weather was beautiful, but a little cold.  Our camping experiment was a success, which means I'm sure our summer holidays next year will include *several* nights in a tent somewhere.

We found a beautiful park nearby too

294/366 - Camping is such tiring business, once you get home you can't even sit properly to watch TV...

So that was our fun filled week, I'm really exhausted, but very happy.

I cannot believe that tomorrow is September, that it's Autumn, that it's the start of a new school year, a school year that sees my firstborn start school!!

See you next week.
