Cubby Kits - A Great New Idea

If you're anything like me, thinking up new, educational, exciting and creative activities for your children can sometimes prove to be challenging. I'm always hearing of parents struggling to think of ideas to keep their little ones occupied on those rainy afternoons, or during those loooong school holidays. This is where CubbyKits come in and save the day!

CubbyKits are a new company dedicated to delivering entertaining, educational and fun activity boxes for children aged between 3 and 6. CubbyKits have been designed to spark children’s curiosity and creativity whilst keeping them entertained. They aim to excite every month as they await the arrival of the next CubbyKit to their door. Each month, the boxes are filled with projects and activities linked to the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage.

Unlike many of today’s toys and games, these are educational, hands on activities that let you and your little ones spend quality time together whilst stretching their imagination and keeping them busy.

All the boxes are endorsed by experts, reviewed by parents and tested by kids themselves. With different themes each month a CubbyKit offers the chance for your little ones to explore and discover.

When we were asked if Sam would like to try out a CubbyKit we jumped at the chance for some fun activities to fill the half term holidays.

First things first the parcel arrived; addressed to Sam, he was thrilled to have such a big box with HIS name on it, so couldn't wait to open it up to explore the contents.

The contents of this kit was all about Outer Space. With such activities as a 3D rocket picture, Mushy Martians and a Constellation Wall Chart, along with everything we'd need to make it such as PVA glue, balloons, the ingredients to make playdoh, black paper, gold pen, stickers, glitter etc, etc. and most importantly instructions for mammy, we couldn't wait to get started.

Sam decided that he'd like to make the 3D rocket picture first; so we coloured in the rocket, glued on a picture of Cubby the Polar Bear, cut it out and got creative on the black paper. Once finished, we had a masterpiece!
Work in progress

Our masterpiece
We've really enjoyed looking at the constellation wall charts, which happily coincided with a project on planets Sam had just completed at nursery. Next we'll be making green mushy martians!

We all really enjoyed the activities inside the CubbyKit and I think this is a great idea.  It would make a perfect gift idea too.

To enjoy CubbyKits for yourself it takes 3 simple steps:

1. Sign Up; Register for a monthly or annual subscription in your child's name. Or send a CubbyKit as a gift.

  1. Thank you for the review! It's really great to see how you guys got on with your CubbyKit.

Glad that Sam liked opening a parcel with his name on it. It's always fun to receive mail (when it isn't a bill!), especially when it doesn't happen often.

Hope you enjoyed the rest of box too :)

These look amazing, but can't afford a whole year... yet, anyway!

How adorable does Sam look making his drawing? Looks a lot of fun...may try one for easter.
Will it be the same box?

    1. Hi, yes it really is a great product! I'm not sure if the box contents will still be the space theme at Easter, you should ask them for details on cubbykit.com/contacts for further details.

Thanks for the nice comments too! x
